Can you tell us about the inspiration behind your latest music release?
A battle between good and evil is something I’m constantly feeling inside my soul. I suppose that many of us do. I guess that’s what the Yin-Yang is all about. The natural order of the universe. We see it on the News. We see it in nature. As long as there’s balance between the two sides, there’s hope for the future.
How does this new release differ from your previous work?
There wasn’t much thinking that went into my previous release, “Shake Your Bones”. That track was just about a straight forward kind of beat with some Hoover leads. Just a regular banger for the Dance Floor. “Battle Between Good And Evil” is a more melodic kind of tune playing with 3 different emotions. Still has some Hoovers of course.
What was the creative process like for this project?
Well I wanted to convey the what I’ve mentioned in the first answer. So there had to be 3 different chords progressions that worked with each other. Good, Evil and the balanced vibe. That was challenging for me. The track starts with the balanced feeling. Neither good, nor evil. Then it starts jumping between the good and evil vibes, symbolizing the battle between the two sides. Finally it ends with the balanced chord progression again.
Can you share any memorable moments or challenges you encountered while working on this release?
Oh my god, deleting the previous day’s work over and over again. Like I said, it was challenging, but I’ve learned some things that I’ll use in future productions.
What message or emotion do you hope listeners take away from your music?
Sometimes, it might seem that life is a bit fucked up. We are bombarded with horrible images in the media. However, what Bill Hicks said back in the day, remains true. “It’s just a ride!” Now post that clip below this interview please.
